Top of mind for many Sudburians is the need for a provincewide mining inquiry in Ontario. Such an undertaking has not been tackled in more than 30 years and with three deaths in the last two years in Nickel City mines, many in the city have pressed for the province to take a close look at mining practices in Ontario.
Wynne also spoke about tougher animal cruelty laws, expanded oversight for Ontario Ombudsman André Marin, the potential for reforming aspects of the Municipal Act and her work to keep the Liberals in power.
