Now in its 18th year, Coffee Break is the Alzheimer Society’s largest community-based fundraiser that, to date, has raised more than $15 million for local Alzheimer Society programs and services.
No donation is too big or too small for a cup of coffee, and funds raised stay in the Sudbury-Manitoulin region.
“Connecting people with dementia and their caregivers to information and support in the earliest stages of the disease is absolutely critical,” said executive director Lorraine LeBlanc.
“We know that caregivers have a herculean task but we offer many services that can help them and the person they are caring for prepare for every stage of the disease and make plans for the future. These services are also important to help keep people with dementia active and in their homes for as long as possible.”
