World Car-Free Day is an annual event that aims to reduce dependency on cars and is supported by the European Union, the United Nations, the Government of Canada and the leaders of more than 1,500 cities around the world.
EarthCare Sudbury will be providing residents with free round-trip transportation on Greater Sudbury Transit on World Car-Free Day. Individuals who are interested in riding for free on Sept. 23 must present a Car-Free voucher to the driver while boarding the bus.
Vouchers are available at local libraries, Citizen Service Centres and online at www.greatersudbury.ca/earthcare.
World Car-Free Day is a great opportunity to do something positive for the environment and your personal health, so leave your car at home and walk, bike or take the bus ... for FREE!
