Ontario PCs are converging on London this weekend for the party's 2013 convention and the provincial Tories' Sudbury candidate will be on hand.

Paula Peroni issued a statement today saying she will lead a team to the southern Ontario city this weekend “to stand behind PC Leader Tim Hudak.”

"I am proud to represent the only party that truly gets and supports Northern Ontario," Peroni said in the news release. "I am looking forward to voting on policy changes that will ensure even more prosperity in the North."

With PCs recently unveiling an economic plan for the North, Peroni accused the Liberals and NDP of doing “nothing to demonstrate that they understand the way of life in Northern Ontario, where both parties are killing jobs instead of creating them.”

She said the NDP must be held accountable for supporting Liberal policies “that have left hundreds of thousands unemployed in Northern Ontario due to the destruction of the horse racing industry."

Peroni also said she would welcome a fall election.
