Together, the more than 75 participants helped raise close to $2,000 for the Northern Cancer Foundation (NCF).
The event was put on by Dynamic Eventz, a local event-planning business.
“This was such a fun event to be a part of,” said Anna Sampson, manager of community development at the Northern Cancer Foundation. “The ladies who took part really showed their enthusiasm and determination to help out those in need. We are so thankful to everyone involved for supporting cancer care in their community.”
The monies raised through the Zumbathon will be donated to the Supportive Care Unit of the Northeast Cancer Centre. The unit helps individuals and their families deal with the emotional, psychological, social, spiritual and physical concerns caused by cancer.
