Residents with an iron will are invited to the Big Top to test their courage at the Terror Train Circus, complete with dark mazes and rail cars containing evil clowns and a collection of side show freaks.
The event happens Friday. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10 per person and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
The public is also invited to the Heritage Centre at 59 Young St. on Saturday for the museum's first annual scare fair. Starting at 2 p.m., the museum will be hosting a Halloween fair as part of the official Terror Train kickoff. There will be pumpkin-carving competitions, children's activities, as well as the opportunity to experience the "Last Ride" motion coffin simulator. Live music will be provided courtesy of Cameron's Ceilidh beginning at 4 p.m. and a Beer Tent and hot food will be available.
