The event takes place on the fourth floor of St. Andrew's Place starting at 6 p.m.
SWEAC is a new community/worker-based organization committed to improving the lives and working conditions of people in low-wage and precarious employment. We want to help those who are most vulnerable to unfair work practices, unfair wages and unstable work.
The organization wants to hear about the issues you have been facing at work so that we can serve you well. Have you ever been wronged at work? Have you ever been unjustly fired? Have you ever had to work overtime without proper pay? Have you felt unsafe at work? Have you ever been paid less than minimum wage?
SWEAC will have a presentation on workers' rights and round-table discussions. This forum will be offered in English, though there will be Francophone staff on site to accommodate when needed.
Free pizza and pop will be served.
