The Rotary Club of Sudbury, Rotary Club of Sudbury Sunrisers, their community partners and the public celebrated the grand opening last week.
This new bridge is the result of a partnership between the two Rotary clubs, Cambrian College’s Welding and Fabrication program, Lopes Mechanical, JL Richards and Tulloch Engineering.
Rotary Park is a joint project between the Adanac Park steering committee and Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Sudbury and the Rotary Club of Sudbury Sunrisers. The idea of a park was first conceived in the late '90s as a community project to commemorate the Rotary of Sudbury's 75th anniversary.
The park is 200 acres in size, centrally located and includes part of the Junction Creek Waterway Park and connects New Sudbury to Downtown. Made up of more than four kilometres of trails, Rotary Park boasts flower gardens, rest stops a boardwalk, bridge, stairs and lookout.
