A $125,000 provincial grant is helping Stack Brewery to expand.

The funds, being made available through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation, will help Stack owner Shawn Mailloux purchase new equipment including an automated canning system and leasehold improvements.

“Our investments are helping local entrepreneurs take business ideas, like Stack Brewing, to reality,” said Bartolucci.

Mailloux took Bartolucci on a tour of the facility on Oct. 17.

“Getting the financial backing to start your own business can be very challenging,” Mailloux said. “This funding from NOHFC will help move Stack Brewing forward with greater distribution of our product which translates into more jobs in our community.”

Stack Brewing has launched beers under the names Valley Girl, Angry Moose, Black Rock, Saturday Night and Les Portes de l’Enfer.
