Homes in Naughton and Whitefish without running water

A number of residents from Naughton to Whitefish are expected to be without running water for the rest of the day, said a representative from the City of Greater Sudbury.

A number of residents from Naughton to Whitefish are expected to be without running water for the rest of the day, said a representative from the City of Greater Sudbury.

A water main break along Municipal Road 55, in Naughton, has cut off water for residents between Simon Lake Drive, in Naughton, and Panache Lake Road in Whitefish. “Crews are there working on repairs,” said Shannon Dowling, a spokesperson for the city.

Dowling said it could take all day for crews to restore running water for some residents.

Residents can fill their own containers at municipal filling stations on Countryside Drive, near the Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex; on Bancroft Drive, near Moonlight Beach road; and on Spruce Street, in Garson.
