City seeks input on animal control services contract

A community consultation will be held Dec. 11 in preparation of a Request for Tender for the delivery of pound and animal control services in the city.

The meeting will take place in committee room C-11 at Tom Davies Square, 200 Brady St.

Everyone is invited to attend at any time between 4-7 p.m. to speak with staff representatives from Greater Sudbury Compliance and Enforcement Services.
Comments gathered during the consultation will be submitted to Greater Sudbury Council for review.

Citizens also have the option of completing a survey online at www.greatersudbury.ca/pets or by visiting any branch of the Greater Sudbury Public Library between Dec. 11-16.

Delivery of animal control and pound services is contracted by the City of Greater Sudbury to a local service provider through the award of public tender. The current contract expires on March 31, 2014.
