Poor driving conditions may be on our way later today.

According to Environment Canada, temperatures were sitting at an unseasonably high 5 C at 9:30 a.m., with misty conditions, but were expected to fall to -4 C by this afternoon, creating a potential for icy roads.

There's also a 60 per cent chance of flurries today.

“People need to drive according to weather conditions and give themselves enough time to go to go where they need to go,” said Const. Meghan O'Malley of the Greater Sudbury Police.

“They should also practise defensive driving, but also more so if we're going to have icy roads this afternoon.”
