More than 900 people without power in Greater Sudbury

Greater Sudbury Utilities confirmed an outage in Coniston

UPDATE:

Power was restored to Greater Sudbury Hydro customers in Coniston at about 4:45 p.m. Sunday.

Greater Sudbury Hydro confirmed the power outage was triggered by a faulty insulator on a Hydro One line feeding the Coniston area.

Original story:

Two power outages in Sudbury have affected 918 customers on Sunday, said Hydro One.

The Crown corporation said repairs are expected to be completed by 4 p.m.

Greater Sudbury Hydro has confirmed at least one power outage was in Coniston.

Wendy Watson, a spokesperson for Greater Sudbury Hydro, said at 12:30 p.m. that crews were on route to repair the problem.
