Lively and Capreol ski hills not yet scheduled to open

Adanac Ski Hill will open for the 2013-2014 season on Friday, Dec. 20, said the City of Greater Sudbury.

The ski hill, located in New Sudbury, will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m on opening day. A full schedule of the holiday hours of operation can be found online at www.greatersudbury.ca/ski or by calling 311. Normal hours of operation will begin on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014.

Capreol Ski Hill has not yet opened, the city said. The hill operates solely on natural snowfall to produce the required packed surface for safe operation of the hill.

Lively Ski Hill is also closed. Snowmaking operations are continuing there to make a sufficient packed base. Residents will be advised when snow levels are adequate for safe opening of these facilities.

Operating hours of ski hills are dependent on weather conditions and may change without notice. Please visit www.greatersudbury.ca/ski for daily updates.
