Christmas trees, well evergreens to be more general, smell terrific. But why? Supplied photo.
There's no rest for the Sudbury Food Bank. Weeks after completing the Edgar Burton Food Drive, the food bank volunteers are readying for their first food drive of 2014.

On Jan. 4, the Banque d’aliments Sudbury Food Bank and Allmac Tree Service and their partners are teaming up to have some fun, help folks with their Christmas clean up and stock the food bank shelves at the same time.

Visit Vrab's Your Independent Grocer between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. that day and bring your Christmas tree. In exchange for a donation of cash or a non-perishable food item to the food bank, Allmac will chip your tree for you.

While quantities last, Alliance Coffee and Water will be on hand offering coffee to those waiting to recycle their trees.
