The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario will present options for its schools in Val Thérèse and Hanmer at a Jan. 9 meeting.

The meeting takes place starting at 6:30 p.m. at École Ste-Thérèse.

The CSCNO has evaluated its students’ needs as well as its school facilities for École St-Joseph, École Ste-Thérèse and École Notre-Dame.

As part of this process, the CSCNO undertook a feasibility study of as well as the evaluation of 11 school site options in Hanmer and Val Thérèse, including the construction of a new school as well as the modernization of existing buildings.

All options are conditional to the CSCNO’s securing funding from the Ministry of Education.

Parents, students, school staff as well as members of the community are invited to this meeting to share their opinion and make recommendations

The preliminary document outlining this project and identifying the 11 school options is available by visiting http://www.nouvelon.ca/options/hanmer/valtherese.pdf.
