Gibson re-elected chair of conservation authority

Mark Signoretti was elected vice-chair.

The elections took place at the annual general meeting on Jan. 6. The GSSPA is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the Greater Sudbury Source Protection Plan once approved by the Ontario Ministry of Environment.

Jacques Barbeau, Joe Cimino, Jennifer Davidson, Evelyn Dutrisac, Joscelyne Landry-Altmann, Russ Thompson and Anne Watelet are board members for 2014.

“I am very honoured to have the opportunity to continue as chairperson,” said Gibson. “I look forward to working with our dedicated members, staff, community groups and volunteers to ensure the safety of our watershed residents and a healthy natural environment.”
