Members of the public are invited to a meeting Jan. 30 to get a glimpse of early proposals to redevelop the parking lot at the former St. Joseph's Health Centre on Paris Street.

“The city has retained Yallowega Bélanger Architecture to lead this important initiative,” the city said in a release Monday. “Using the feedback given by residents from the initial public consultation, as well as the online survey, the project team will continue the process by summarizing the comments from the community survey, presenting the work completed to date, and presenting preliminary design options.”

The lot was part of the land given to the hospital decades ago, and its future has been up in the air since St. Joe's closed a few years ago. The former hospital itself is being converted into high-end condominiums, but the parking lot is in a separate area.

The open house goes from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday at Tom Davies Square.
