The Greater Sudbury Development Corporation, the economic development arm of the City of Greater Sudbury, is currently seeking five citizens for appointment to its board of directors.

Citizens with an interest in economic development are invited to apply by Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Service on the GSDC board of directors is an unpaid, volunteer position. For more information, visit or call 311 for municipal services.

Working with the director of economic development, the role of the GSDC board of directors is to strengthen and enhance economic development within the City of Greater Sudbury by driving five identified “engines” for growth: mining, mining supply and services; advanced education, research and innovation; tourism; health services expertise; and arts and culture.

The GSDC board of directors meets once a month, starting at 11:30 a.m., for approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours. The term for these five appointments varies.
