Macdonald-Cartier students win music festival awards

Two local students won awards at the 11th annual Festival Quand ça nous chante.

Two local students won awards at the 11th annual Festival Quand ça nous chante.

More than 385 students from 41 Francophone schools participated in this provincewide music festival, which was hosted recently by Sudbury's École secondaire Macdonald-Cartier.

Renée St-Martin of É.s. Macdonald-Cartier earned the Coup de Coeur des techniciens award for her patience and her professionalism during the three-day festival.

Mathieu Landry, Groupe 17 drummer with É.s. Macdonald-Cartier, received the award Étoile du Festival. This award was presented for outstanding musical talents.
