Capreol house fire leaves three homeless

A house fire on Albert Street in Capreol has left three people displaced after flames caused about $150,000 in damage, said Greater Sudbury Fire Services. A total of 20 firefighters responded to the call at 7:39 p.m. on March 28.

A house fire on Albert Street in Capreol has left three people displaced after flames caused about $150,000 in damage, said Greater Sudbury Fire Services.

A total of 20 firefighters responded to the call at 7:39 p.m. on March 28. Both fire and smoke damage are listed as severe.

No one was injured in the blaze.

In its fire safety message, Greater Sudbury Fire Services advises all residents to develop and practise a home fire escape plan.

“In case a fire starts, everyone must know two ways out of every room, if possible,” said Greater Sudbury Fire Services in a news release. “Get out and stay out. Don't try to save possessions. Go directly to your meeting place outside.”
