Garson Arena set to host sportsman's show

Although the city is still very much in the throes of winter, spring will be in the air at Garson Arena come early April.

DAC Marketing hosts the 35th annual event from April 4 to April 6.

Boats, quads, pontoons, angling and hunting products, mopeds, motorcycles and more will be on display. Besides a display of antique outboards as part of Mercury's 95th anniversary celebrations, there will be live demonstrations of archery, MMA fighting and more.

Some 200 gift bags will be given to the first 200 people each day. Doors open from 5-9 p.m. on April 4; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 5; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 6.

Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for students and children six and up.
