Northern Life recognized for general excellence

Northern Life was honoured to walk away with four awards, including general excellence in its circulation category, at the Ontario Community Newspaper Awards ceremony in Toronto Friday.

“Sudbury Northern Life achieves a triumvirate: well written news stories and features, crisp and dynamic layout and an ad-to-editorial ratio that is manageable,” wrote the Ontario Community Newspaper Awards judges, who recognized Northern Life for general excellence for a newspaper with circulation between 22,500 and 44,999.

Northern Life also received the awards for best editorial in a newspaper with a circulation higher than 10,000; best front page, in the same circulation category; and best community newspaper website.

Last month NorthernLife.ca was also named one of Canada's top community newspaper websites at the Canadian Community Newspaper Awards.
