Since August 2013, she has served as acting vice-president, finance and administration, where she has furthered her track record of developing innovative financial solutions while leading a strong, collaborative and performance-driven team.

Prior to joining the college, Morrissey held several positions which added to her leadership experience in the financial sector.

A chartered accountant since 2000, Morrissey brings a strong financial background to the position, as well as a wealth of
experience in both the private and public sectors.

These included roles as a senior manager with KPMG, where she was responsible for managing audit processes and client relations,
along with conducting benchmarking analysis, operational reviews and process improvements for clients; and as a financial analyst and senior credit advisor with Imperial Oil Limited.

Morrissey has been involved in a number of local and provincial committees, including the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities Facilities Conditions Committee, as well as the Audit Committee of the Sudbury District Catholic School Board.

In addition to her accounting designation, she holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University.

“I am very pleased to welcome Kristine to the Finance and Administration portfolio on a permanent basis,” said interim president Sonia Del Missier.

“The Finance and Administration division, which includes Financial Services, Facilities Management, Information Technology, Enterprise Risk Management and Business Development, is strategic to the college’s future. Kristine’s experience, leadership skills, and financial acumen will be invaluable to the college as we look to welcome a new president and develop and implement a new strategic plan for Cambrian.”
