Cambrian College will host students from throughout the Sudbury region April 24 at this year’s Let’s Talk Science Challenge.

This one-day event includes a hands-on, question-and-answer style competition, as well as a Cambrian Meets Myth Busters segment.

It inspires team work and friendly competition, while nurturing enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering and math education. Let’s Talk Science at Cambrian College is the kick-off event of the 2014 roster, which happens nationwide.

Five schools will participate in this year’s challenge, including Algonquin Road Public School, RH Murray Public School, Central Manitoulin Public School, Monetville Public School and S. Geiger Public School.

Developed in 2005 by Let’s Talk Science Outreach Program volunteers at McMaster University in Hamilton, the Let’s Talk Science Challenge has expanded across the country, providing thousands of Canadian students the opportunity to participate in the event.

It is a one-day minds-on, hands-on science competition, typically open to students from grades six to eight.
