Sudbury resident Lionel Spencer is ecstatic after winning a brand new 2014 General Motors vehicle through with OLG’s License to Win promotion.

Spencer was awarded his prize on April 17 during the OLG Slots at Sudbury Downs’ grand prize event held for qualifying members of OLG's Winner’s Circle Rewards program.

“I’m overwhelmed, but very happy at the same time,” said Lionel, shortly after being named the grand-prize winner. “I’ve never won anything like this before. I woke up this morning thinking ‘tonight will be a great event regardless of what happens,’ but I’m shocked to be the big winner.”

Spencer, who ultimately chose a Buick Regal as his prize, has been a Winner’s Circle Rewards member since 2001 and enjoys going to the slots for fun.

“Congratulations to Lionel. It’s always exciting when one of our patrons wins a top prize,” said Garth Moote, acting general manager at OLG Slots at Sudbury Downs. “That the vehicle is being purchased through a local dealer vendor also makes this a great community win.”

License to Win is a yearly promotion, taking place at all 19 OLG slots and casino locations. The promotion offers 24 vehicles to be won across Ontario.
