Sudbury Secondary students among best in math

Sudbury Secondary School students Tristan Brennan, Ashley Lavigne and Jaden Irvine earned some of the top math marks after writing the University of Waterloo Math Contest on Feb. 20. Irvine earned a top mark of 90 in the Grade 9 Pascal Contest.

Sudbury Secondary School students Tristan Brennan, Ashley Lavigne and Jaden Irvine earned some of the top math marks after writing the University of Waterloo Math Contest on Feb. 20.

Irvine earned a top mark of 90 in the Grade 9 Pascal Contest.

Lavigne earned a top mark and a medal for her score of 106 in the Grade 10 Cayley Contest.

Brennan earned a certificate of distinction for placing in the top 25 per cent of all contestants with his mark of 108 in the Grade 11 Fermat Contest.
