Two-hour outage needed for equipment upgrades

Greater Sudbury Hydro customers in New Sudbury be forewarned: the power is going out for two hours on Sunday in some parts of the neighbourhood.

The outages will affect the following areas of New Sudbury on Sunday:
-From 8-10 a.m., about 115 customers on Leon, Rinfret and Roy streets will be without service, as we work on replacing equipment.
-From 9:30-11:30 a.m., about 165 customers in the Arvo, Holland, Kingslea, Lamothe and Redfern areas will be without service, also for equipment upgrades.

All of affected customers will be notified, the utility said in a release Thursday.

“We apologize for this inconvenience and thank our customers for their patience and consideration.”
