Join Rainbow Routes on Saturday for a Jane’s Walk tour of the downtown.

Jane’s Walk is an international event held to encourage people to explore their city and connect with their neighbours. These locally led walking tours are inspired by Jane Jacobs (1919 - 2006), an urbanist and activist whose writing championed a fresh, community-based approach to city building.

Those interested can meet at the north-west parking lot at York and Paris streets across from Bell Park at 9:45 a.m. for instructions and to sign waivers.

After the hike, there will be a luncheon at the Townehouse Tavern at 206 Elgin St.

Hikes will run in all but the worst of weather, so be prepared with proper footwear and clothing for all conditions.
