The Family Enrichment Centre is celebrating its 20th anniversary May 29 with a celebration at the Steelworkers Hall.

The event, which starts at 5 p.m., includes live entertainment, including some “crooning clerics,” Father Peter Moher on piano and the Sudbury Chamber Singers. There will also be a chance to win raffle items.

Family Enrichment Centre founders Sister Noreen Muldoon, Sister Bonnie Chesser and Evelyn Marcon will be honoured at the event.

The centre, currently located in the Diocesan Centre at 30 Ste. Anne Rd., offers counselling and psychological services, and various workshops, including marriage preparation, parenting and anger management, to name a few.

“Over the past 20 years we have had the privilege of working with many staff, each bringing unique skills and gifts,” a press release from the centre said.

“Many former staff continue to work with and for the people of our community. In addition we have provided educational training opportunities for university level social work and psychology students on practicum field placements.”

Tickets to the anniversary event, which cost $45 each or $320 for a table of eight, are available by phoning 705-670-0606. Learn more about the Family Enrichment Centre by visiting www.familyenrichmentcentre.ca.
