City hosts compost giveaway Saturday

The City of Greater Sudbury will be hosting its annual compost giveaway on Saturday, May 31 at Parkside Centre, 140 Durham St.

The event is part of the city's Organics Program, which was launched in 2009.

A limited quantity of bagged unscreened, finished compost will be available to residents at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited to one bag per household.

Backyard composter bins will also be available for $67.80 each. Purchases may be made with either cash or by cheque.

The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. or until supplies last. For more information on the compost giveaway, visit www.greatersudbury.ca.
