Power outage planned for Falconbridge June 8

Some 400 Greater Sudbury Hydro customers in the Falconbridge area will be without power June 8.

Hydro One said a 44kV power line supplying the community of Falconbridge will be shut down in order to make improvements on their system. The work should take about four hours from 7-11 am.

All affected customers have been notified.

“We remind people to ensure any computerized equipment is turned off prior to the interruption,” said Greater Sudbury Hydro. “Also, please note that most cordless telephones and garage door openers will not function during an outage.

“We apologize for this inconvenience and thank our customers for their patience and consideration.”
