This Belgian strong ale was ranked the third best in its category, nation-wide. Not bad for a small brewery that hasn’t even celebrated its first year in business.

Sudbury's Stack Brewing picked up another award — a bronze — for their Biere de Garde, Les Portes de L'Enfer, at the 12th annual Canadian Brewing Awards. Supplied.
This Belgian strong ale was ranked the third best in its category, nation-wide. Not bad for a small brewery that hasn’t even celebrated its first year in business.

Stack celebrates its one-year anniversary June 28 by offering a specialty Juniper and Rosemary Saison, exclusively through the retail shop. Quantities will be limited.

The Canadian Brewing Awards are the premiere competition for judging the quality of Canadian brewed beer. The contest is the only truly national competition that invites breweries of all sizes from across the country to compete in a blind tasting to see who brews the best beer in a variety of style categories.

Stack Brewing is located at 1350 Kelly Lake Road. For more information, including retail shop hours, visit stackbrewing.ca.
