In a release Monday, the city said it is asking residents to fill out a survey that will give the municipality a better idea of how to consult them about issues and policies that affect them.

“Engagement in municipal government can take many forms, and we want to make sure we’re doing it right,” CAO Doug Nadorozny is quoted as saying in a news release.

“Ultimately, a healthy community is one where residents and public servants work together to create a city which is a reflection of all our voices. This survey is part of the process we’re using to make sure we’re communicating with residents in ways and on issues that matter to them.”

The survey is part of a review of the city’s “community engagement strategies,” the release said. The findings of the review will be presented to city council sometime this summer.

The survey is available at www.greatersudbury.ca/surveys. Copies will also be available at citizen service centres and at all branches of the Greater Sudbury Public Library, as of Tuesday. Deadline to complete the survey is June 16.
