The Crisis Workers Society of Ontario (CWSO) announced June 9 that Robin Cheslock has been granted the Up and Coming award for his leadership in the field of crisis intervention.

The Up and Coming Award is an award of distinction presented by CWSO and given to a new supervisor or manager for their leadership in crisis intervention services. Nominations are brought forward by the individual's team, and award winners are chosen after an extensive selection process by CWSO subcommittee.

“Robin's leadership of the Crisis Intervention Program at Health Sciences North has earned extensive praise from his team,” said Alison Johnston, CWSO board president. “His patience and courage in embracing challenges has significantly advanced the program. He is one to watch in the field of crisis intervention.”

Cheslock receives the award at the CWSO Annual Conference on June 11-12 in Ingersoll.

The Crisis Workers Society of Ontario has worked to ensure that there is a forum for crisis workers to come together to share knowledge and to enhance the standing of the profession since its inception in 1984.
