At the annual general meeting of Food Banks Canada, Geoffrey Lougheed was elected as an Ontario representative with Food Banks Canada.

“I am honoured to provide my experience to help our national organization,” Lougheed said. “Feeding the hungry is a fundamental need understood by everyone in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada and around the world.

“Hunger has no colour, religion, age or gender, but its pain is real. I look forward to working with other committed volunteers to finding solutions and helping define our nation as a caring society.”

Geoffrey is one of the founders of the Sudbury Food Bank. He continues to serve with the executive locally, as well as on the executive of the Ontario Association of Food Banks.
