After such a long and cold winter and slow start to spring, Sudbury is finally experiencing some warm weather with many beautiful days in store, said The Weather Network.

Meteorologist Elena Lappo said Sudbury will see a lot of warm weather, with average day-time highs for Sudbury at 22.2 C in June, 24.8 C in July and 23.4 C in August.

However, Lapps said she expects temperatures to drop slightly below seasonal near the end of summer.

"That's not to say that summer's cancelled." she said. "Slightly below seasonal is still over 20 degrees."

In terms of precipitation, Sudbury can expect normal amounts of rain, totalling up to 243 millimetres of rain from June through August.
