Moonlight Beach crowded over the weekend
The temperature hit a high of 29.4 C Saturday and 28 C Sunday, according to Environment Canada.
With humidity both days creeped into the mid 30s.
Sarah Bates was at Moonlight Beach for the first time this summer on Sunday. She said with school over, it felt like summer had officially started.
“We live in Minnow Lake so we come a few times a week,” she said. “Now that school's over this is what we do.”
Jessica Watts was also at the beach with her children. “I find the water cold but the kids love it,” she said.
Her friend Rebecca Lips-Comb said that while the beach was quite busy Sunday, it was even more crowded on Saturday.
Environment Canada has predicted slightly cooler weather on Canada Day, with a high of 24 C and a 60 per cent chance of showers.
