Annual Freedom Rally kicks off Aug. 1

The Freedom Riders Motorcycle Association is revved up for its 21st annual Freedom Rally Aug. 1-4.

The rally takes place at the Mine Mill Campground on the shores of Richard Lake and will welcome participants from all over Canada.

Aug. 1 activities will feature wiener roasts, making way for guided tours, field games, and live music and dancing on Aug. 2. Also included in the event are daily continental breakfasts and a catered supper on Aug. 3.

Tickets are $55 for adults and $30 for children.

All proceeds from the event will support a local children’s cause. More than $40,000 has been given to local children’s charities since the rally's inception.
