Angeline Street house fire leaves 5 displaced

Five people are displaced after a fire caused about $100,000 in damage to a home on Angeline Street, said Greater Sudbury Fire Services. Firefighters had to evacuate one person. Fire and smoke damage are listed as severe.

Five people are displaced after a fire caused about $100,000 in damage to a home on Angeline Street, said Greater Sudbury Fire Services.

Firefighters had to evacuate one person. Fire and smoke damage are listed as severe.

A total of 17 firefighters attended the call, which came in at 8:23 p.m.

Every home in Ontario must have a working smoke alarm on every storey and outside all sleeping area, said Greater Sudbury Fire Services. Test your smoke alarms once a month and replace the batteries every year. Smoke alarms can increase your chances of surviving a fire by up to 50 per cent.
