Bouchard and Marcel: The City of Greater Sudbury will be changing the traffic control at the intersection of Bouchard Street and Marcel Street.

Starting on Wednesday, Oct. 15, the stop signs facing eastbound and westbound traffic on Bouchard Street will be removed. This will leave only two stop signs facing northbound and southbound traffic on Marcel Street.

Signs have been posted at the intersection advising drivers of the new traffic control and the date that the change will be made. Drivers are asked to be extra cautious during the change.

This change is being made in conjunction with the installation of a raised intersection which is scheduled to be completed by the end of this week.

Barrydowne Road: Construction of an island on Barrydowne Road, North of Woodbine Avenue, will close both curb lanes leaving both centre lanes available, instead.

Once work is complete on both sides of Barrydowne, both curb lanes will clear and both centre lanes will be closed off for the construction of the island.

A minimum of one lane will be maintained in both directions at all times.

Work is expected to be completed by Monday Oct. 20, 2014.

Elm Street: the westbound curb lane at 460 Elm St. will be closed Thursday, Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to about 3 p.m. for water service repair.
