More people than ever before are buying, cooking and eating gluten free foods.
The "gluten-free diet" seems to be the latest craze for those looking to lose weight.
While appealing to many, the diet still seems to be widely misunderstood.
"There’s absolutely no evidence that simply getting rid of gluten will result in weight loss, said registered dietician Ashley Hurley, "Eating gluten-free often may cause you to eat more whole, unprocessed foods such as fruits, vegetables, legumes and lean meats. These diet changes are often healthier and therefore you tend to feel better."
