Environment Canada has issued a weather advisory for freezing drizzle in northeastern Ontario.

Freezing drizzle is affecting areas near Lake Superior this afternoon, and is expected to affect other portions of northeastern and central Ontario later tonight and into Saturday morning.

Several hours of freezing drizzle are likely along with several centimetres of snow.
Untreated surfaces may become slippery as a result of the freezing drizzle.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.

Weather advisories for freezing drizzle are issued when drizzle falling in sub-zero temperatures is expected to freeze on contact, and over time create icy surfaces.
