Gravelle takes on official languages critic role

Nickel Belt NDP MP Claude Gravelle has been appointed as the official opposition critic for official languages.

"I am honoured to take on this role for the NDP,” Gravelle said, in a press release. “The vision of building a stronger nation inclusive of both official languages will guide my work."

Federal NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair also appointed Thunder Bay—Rainy River MP John Rafferty as pensions critic, Rimouski-Neigette—Témiscouata—Les Basques MP Guy Caron as energy and natural resources critic and Windsor West MP Brian Masse as the small business critic.

“I am proud of the solid experience offered to Canadians by a strong team of NDP MPs,” Mulcair said. “This is the team that will give Canadians a choice in the next election.”
