The Share a Book campaign, organized by Cambrian College's Early Childhood Education students, runs until Feb. 27.

Members of the public are invited to donate books at the Main, New Sudbury, South End, Chelmsford, Valley East and Lively branches of the Greater Sudbury Public Library, as well as the One Stop Enrolment Centre at Cambrian’s Barrydowne Campus.

The books will be distributed to needy families in the city.

The students launched the initiative on Family Literacy Day Jan. 27.

“At Cambrian, building students’ potential means that they graduate with experience beyond the classroom,” said Early Childhood Education professor Emily Matheson, in a press release.

“This is an example of how we support our students to become well-rounded, socially responsible professionals who find rewarding careers.”
