Our Children, Our Future is looking for nominations for its Champions for Children awards.

The awards go to individuals from the Districts of Sudbury/Manitoulin who are caring, concerned and committed to making a difference in the lives of children.

“There are many wonderful people in our communities selflessly giving their time, energy, and resources every single day for children,” said Our Children, Our Future honourary chair John Whitehead.

“Many of them don’t even think of it as volunteering. Quite honestly, they just do it because it seems like the right thing to do. Their hearts are in the right place. I am so fortunate to be involved in helping recognize these people and their efforts. It is both humbling and inspiring.”

The four categories are: Junior volunteer, Volunteer, Group of Volunteers and Business.

Nominations are open until March 6. Email [email protected] for more information about nominations.

The 15th annual Champions for Children Awards Luncheon, where the awards are handed out, takes place April 23 at the Steelworkers Hall.
