School bus collides with pick-up truck south of Elliot Lake

Three children suffered minor injuries after a school bus collided with a pick-up truck south of Elliot Lake Tuesday afternoon, says the OPP.

The collision occurred on Highway 108, near Nordic Mine Road. Police responded to the collision at around 1 p.m.

The bus was carrying 13 children and two adults.

Police closed Highway 108, from Esten Drive South to Highway 17, to traffic in both directions for most of the afternoon, but re-opened the road at around 7 p.m.

The collision is currently under investigation by officers from the East Algoma OPP Detachment with the assistance of the Technical Traffic Collision Investigators.
