The discussion about whether to open the city's farmers market on a weekday continues this week. A couple of weeks ago, proponents of the idea of having more open days at the market, including Eat Local Sudbury, met to bat around ideas.

The discussion about whether to open the city's farmers market on a weekday continues this week.

A couple of weeks ago, proponents of the idea of having more open days at the market, including Eat Local Sudbury, met to bat around ideas.

Eat Local said producers who attended that first meeting were very keen on having a mid-week market because it opens it for Sudburians who wish to leave town on the weekends in the summer.

Another discussion will be held March 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the ParkSide Centre on Durham Street, Kinsmen Room B. This discussion is open to all producers, consumers, and vendors. Come join us, we will be discussing more precisely about site selection and governance.
