Is Ontario failing victims of sexual violence, harrassment?

Ontario's Select Committee on Sexual Violence and Harassment is holding public hearings in Sudbury the week of April 6. MPP France Gélinas advised residents of the hearings in a March 25 news release.

MPP France Gélinas advised residents of the hearings in a March 25 news release. While in the city, the committee will consider advice and recommendations with respect to the prevention of sexual violence and harassment, and to improving the response to Ontarians who have experienced sexual violence and harassment.

“Sexual harassment prevention is an important social issue and I would like to encourage all residents to take part,” Gélinas said.

Interested people who wish to be considered to make an in-person presentation to the committee should contact Will Short, the Clerk of the Committee, by 5 p.m. on March 30.

Those scheduled to appear as a witness will have the option of making their presentation in private.
