Fifth annual Courage to Stand day kicks off Monday

Secondary school students from all four local school boards will take part in the 5th annual Courage to Stand Day on April 20 at the Caruso Club.

Hosted by the Greater Sudbury Police Service Chief's Youth Advisory Council (CYAC) the day is to set aside to remind people of the importance of treating one another with respect and dignity and to stand up for their beliefs.

This year's theme is "Everyone has a Story".

In addition to keynote speakers like Anick Gervais, dignitaries include Mayor Brian Bigger, GSPS's board chair Gerry Lougheed Jr. and chief of police Paul Pederson.
